Steven Mitchell is the Managing Member of Vistane Group LLC which operates Vistane Group Consulting and Vistane Group Leadership Coaching. Mitchell has a well-rounded background with experience in both the public and private sectors which includes 37 years of experience in the fire service and ownership of various private sector businesses. With many in leadership roles, he has 16 years of experience as a full-time municipal Fire Chief and also served five years as an elected County Commissioner. Mitchell has Degrees in Business Administration and Fire Service Administration and completed Graduate Study in the areas of Organizational Development and Adult Education. He also has Graduate Certificates in Professional Supervision and Emergency Management. Designated as a Chief Fire Officer (CFO) by the Center for Public Safety Excellence, Mitchell also holds Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) from the NFPA and is a ten-time recipient of the National Life Safety Achievement Award. He was the 2013 Career Fire Chief of the year for Kentucky awarded by the Kentucky Association of Fire Chiefs and Kentucky League of Cities, as well as many other recognitions. Mitchell is the creator and trademark holder of “Vision Marksmanship,” a program used to help organizations achieve desired goals.
